Who We Are

Our website address is: https://themehram.com

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect and prevent spam.

An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. You can read the Gravatar service’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from these images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again for future comments. These cookies will last for one year.

When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Upon logging in, we’ll set several cookies to store your login details and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, while display settings cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. Logging out will remove the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply records the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on The Mehram website may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited the original website.

These external sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your actions if you are logged in to those websites.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email to help verify your request.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and automatically approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in moderation.

For users who register on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on our site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any information you’ve provided to us.

You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service to ensure the safety and integrity of The Mehram website.
